An Unforgettable Stay at Bohol Bee Farm

Every year, Ken and I make sure to celebrate our birthdays somewhere out of town. In 2012, we decided it will be in Bohol. He’s been there before, and he can’t forget their wonderful stay at Bohol Bee Farm. He said it’s a truly memorable experience so I decided to check them out for our vacation.

Bohol Bee Farm - a charming resort for you and your family

Before anything else, I just wanted to say that this post shouldn’t have been delayed for more than a year. I wanted to write about our 2012 vacation in Bohol and our stay at Bohol Bee Farm as soon as we got back because we had an extremely fabulous time there, especially with the outstanding customer service we got from the farm’s staff. Sadly, too many things got in the way, including, I’ll admit, procrastination. 😐

After everything that has happened to Bohol in 2013 and our recent trip to Palawan for our birthdays (I’ll get into details of this on our post about it), I was determined to finally finish this series of posts to share with you why you must visit Bohol.

A rainbow appeared on our first day in Bohol. I didn’t have my DSLR with me so I took this using my smartphone. Couldn’t miss this shot. 🙂

Van Gogh is Bipolar : A Must-Visit in Manila

This is part 2 of our blog post on Certified Foodies about Van Gogh is Bipolar, an extraordinary restaurant located at Maginhawa Street in Quezon City. If you’re visiting Manila, or you live here in the Metro and you want to bring your friends to a new restaurant, this is a must-visit.

Since I took a ton of photos at the place and some of them are not GP enough to be posted on our food blog 😀 (you’ll find out later), I decided to post them all here.

We Work to Live, to Eat and to Travel

This is the very first post of this blog and supposedly, we’re to write something deep explaining why we started this blog and an invitation for you to follow our travel journal. 😀

Though we already explained the reason behind the creation of this blog on our About Us page, I thought it’ll be appropriate for us to write a formal introduction. The truth is I don’t know where or how to start, but let me just try.

Aside from our passion and love for food and cooking (have you seen Certified Foodies?), one of the many things our nanay inspired us to do is to travel as much as we can. She loves to travel and she’s already been to different parts of the country. However, due to our finances – she was the only breadwinner of our family when we were growing up – her budget for traveling was limited. That didn’t stop her though from doing what she can to take a vacation and travel somewhere she’s never been. And I admire her for that. We still can’t figure out how she did all that while sending my brother and I to very decent schools while feeding our family of 4.

This is why we vow to travel more, not just for our sanity, but for our nanay as well. We want to travel the world with her, let her see the wonders of the places we only see on TV or on the internet.

Mostly, though, this is for US… for me. I’m a workaholic. Even when it’s my rest day, my dedication to my work, whatever it is, never stops me from checking in at work to see how my team’s doing. But when I travel, I realized it’s easier for me to allow myself to cut my connection from all the stress of work, other people, and even my blogs. I give myself a chance to pause and relax. And I always come back with a different perspective in life (ugh… too cliche).
